Two Journeys - Lidia Godijn & Arno Tesling
Showcasing a series of works by local artists Lidia Godijn & Arno Tesling that relate to two different journeys through two different time frames.
Works include fibre works, mixed media, photography and paintings. Included in the works are three-dimensional fibre works and installations as well as paintings on canvas. From traditional methodology to the contemporary, from paint to digital. The works will reflect on things and events that were and are remembered in a different time. People and events that informed our lives and those around us and made us what we are today.
Journey one (Gallery 4) - 'Journey through Photography and Textiles' by Lidia Godijn contains a series of works which reflect on experiences and events of the past to the present, from Europe to Canada, to Papua New Guinea through to Australia.
Journey two (Gallery 3) - 'Faces and Places of Australia' by Arno Tesling showcases faces and places he has met when travelling in Australia. The painted portraits are of everyday people and where they have come from.
